 | Bad impeller - if it has shed blades then you must look in the
water passages until you find and remove all the pieces. Take a look
at the housing for distortion |

| Bad / missing seals on water tube or melted water tube base |
| Bad water hose, connects drive bell housing to transom assembly |
| Bad / missing seal on vertical drive shaft will leak exhaust gas
into pump |
