The GO-Fast.com story
Way back in 1998 the internet was in it's infancy. Google was first founded. I laughed, who thought of that name?
In any case I had been a computer nerd since the late 70's, way before they (computers, not nerds) were popular.
I had a PC, I had a Modem, Microsoft had just released "Front Page" and I needed a new business after moving from Chicago - so BAM - I registered Go-Fast.com and created my first web site.
Taking advantage of the experience I had gained while operating my marina in Chicago I created some useful content and listed some products. Soon Go-Fast was getting a lot of traffic and as a result the new business of BAM Marine was starting to grow. About this time I met Heather Wolfe. As things got busier Heather joined me at BAM.
Next thing I knew orders were coming in so fast we were writing them on the back of napkins. I sold 3 engines to a gentleman in Hong Kong and went there to install them while Heather held down the fort. The business grew, we got busier, hired more people and I built more websites. And in the process sadly neglected this one.
So here it is over 20 years later. Heather is running the office, most of our employees have been with us for the bulk of the 20 years and I am finally taking the time to do some updates and move Go-Fast to a new platform. Thanks for visiting!
